Scott and Gryphon answer listener questions including: What are cross-reference questions, and will they ever make a comeback? Can a quizmaster ask for deity clarification? Fouls versus errors in quizmaster rulings on a pre-jump. Gryphon and Scott both go off a bit on how awesome Bible Quizzing is and the philosophy around why they are so passionate about the program. Episode 3 - 2 Cor 2-3, Great West Details, and the Context Rule

In this, our third episode, Scott and Gryphon get overly excited about Great West Invitational and drone on and on about how awesome it is, practice strategy, team cohesiveness, and the long road trip (which quizzers love and adults loath). Scott and Gryphon then talk about how much they love the Apostle Paul's letters, in this case most especially 2 Corinthians 2-3. There are lots of great question opportunities in these 2 short chapters, and there are a few places to be extra careful in memorization and study. Finally, Gryphon and Scott launch into the details of the infamous Context Rule, in all its glory, during which, they walk down some tangents (big surprise), including why challenging is a very good thing and should be done more. As a reminder, please email Gryphon and Scott at iq@cbqz.org with any questions, suggestions, or feedback on the podcast, anything related to quizzing, or anything related to Christianity in general.

Episode 2 - Pronoun and Diety Rules, ABC Meet Review, 2 Cor 1

Introduction of our new email address. (iq@cbqz.org) Highlights from the ABC meet review. What kinds of teams routinely make finals and win meets? Why do top teams struggle so much at the end of meets? Memorization schedule and material review. 2 Corinthians 1 content deep dive. Pronoun clarification rule discussion. Deity rule discussion. Specific valid MA versus MACVR questions from recent memorization material. Gryphon expresses his irrational dislike of "split-up" MA questions. Scott claims he tries to avoid technically correct but really confusing or weird questions, then admits he sometimes stretches a bit too far to write more MA type questions. Jumping speeds and other variables all combining to bring accuracy of any bracket to equality with other brackets. Contextual knowledge when answering questions, even though verbatim questions lend themselves to extreme tunnel vision when answering.

Episode 1 - CVRs, Great West, and 1 Cor 15

In this, our first episode ever, Scott and Gryphon chat about the CVR question type, Great West, 1 Corinthians 15 and 16, and how to answer difficult questions. Scott says Gryphon is correct a lot.
